CONTENT IMPERATIVES

CONTENT IMPERATIVES [under construction]

RE-EXAMINATION, RE-CONSIDERATION

Five opportunities to re-examine learning, Content Imperatives allow students a way to put "the pieces" of their literary experience together.   Based on the work of Sandra Kaplan, Clinical Professor in Learning and Instruction at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education, the imperatives are as follows:

The beginning, root, or source of an idea or event

The significant part or result of an idea or event

The coming together or meeting point of events or ideas

Ideas or events that are similar and can be compared

The contradictory elements in an event or idea
